Any of you kids remember Marcus DuPree? Ah, yes. Marcus DuPree, the all-everything RB from OU as a freshman, who left early to play in the USFL for the New Orleans Breakers. Then, he blew out his knee. When the USFL folded, he tried to catch on with somebody (GB, maybe?...Rams?...can't remember for sure who it was) in the NFL, but didn't make the cut, IIRC. A classic case of someone who should've stayed in school longer. Although, IIRC, I think he was about to flunk out and so that's a big reason why he went to the USFL in the first place. |
